Your Fertility Challenge And Getting Pregnant Naturally

For some women conceiving is just as easy as stopping any contraceptive methods, but for others falling pregnant is not so easy. It can take time, planning and changing lifestyle habits. Additionally there is often a fertility problem or financial cost involved for some women to become capable of conceiving.

How to Get Pregnant Naturally

Are you having fertility problems and wondering if you can become pregnant without resorting to a medical solution?

While some couples must rely on the assistance of medical science to fall pregnant, many others have improved conception rates by making changes to their lifestyle, particularly their diet

It is certainly worthwhile trying the natural options first.

Lifestyle changes which positively affect the ability to conceive are also improvements to overall health.

There are many ways to get pregnant naturally, including the following:

  • Alternative Therapies such as acupuncture and reflexology.
  • Diet and nutrition.
  • Fertility cleansing.
  • Natural supplements, vitamins and minerals.
  • Homeopathic remedies and more.

There are many factors that may be preventing a natural conception.

Here are a few that you may have overlooked.

Be checked for a gluten sensitivity.

Some women may need to cut back on their bread intake, especially those with a gluten intolerance.

A study published in the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology revealed that women who have celiac disease, or those who are highly sensitive to gluten, are at higher risk of suffering from anemia, secondary amenorrhea and delayed menarche.

This is because celiac disease can damage the small intestines which may result in the disruption of nutrient absorption from foods.

Unfortunately for some, this occurrence can significantly affect their ability to fall pregnant. Furthermore, the same study revealed that those who made a shift to a gluten-free diet were better able to have normal pregnancies.

If you suspect problems in this area, ask your doctor about being screened for a gluten intolerance.

Eat the right fats.

If you want to increase your chances of falling pregnant another important step is to include healthy fats in your diet and avoid trans fats. Trans fats have been linked to higher blood sugar and increased insulin levels in the blood.

As trans fats affect your body's ability to eliminate sugar from your blood stream, too much sugar in the blood can hurt your fertility rate.

Too many trans fats consumed can also lead to higher inflammation rates which may disrupt your ability to ovulate and conceive and can also affect your baby's development while still in the womb.

If you want to conceive naturally, make better food choices and avoid those taste treats such as French fries, doughnuts, cookies, cakes, pastries and other foods which contain the wrong fats.

You can still consume fats and it's important that you do. We all need fats to have health and vitality and even fertility! Therefore, opt for olives, avocados, fish and organic eggs.

There are many healthy fats you can eat, so be more selective and only eat those foods which support your health and therefore ability to conceive.

Folate, Iron and Vitamin B.

Folate is helpful for keeping your homocysteine levels within the normal range. Higher than normal levels of homocysteine may increase a woman's risk of miscarriage and high blood pressure.

Folate should be taken with Vitamin B if you want to improve your ability to conceive. (It is well-known for taking while you are pregnant, but it should be taken with Vitamin B beforehand.)

Additionally, folate, which is also referred to as folic acid is highly important for replicating DNA which is a process that occurs rapidly during pregnancy. This will be important of course once you do fall pregnant!

Dietary sources of folic acid include spinach, broccoli, beets, chickpeas, oranges and Romaine lettuce.

Along with folate, you also need to keep up your body's iron stores if you want to fall pregnant. A deficiency of iron can lead to iron-deficiency anemia which can definitely harm your chances of a healthy pregnancy

As much as possible source your iron from whole foods such as lean beef, lean pork, shrimp, hummus, leafy greens and eggs. Avoid supplements unless you unable to obtain you daily requirements from good food sources.

The more you can prepare your body naturally, the better your chances of falling pregnant.

Hi Fertility Mamas

in this video I am going to talk about one of the most common and frustrating diagnosis that thousands of couples face that are trying to conceive, unexplained infertility.

In a minute I am going to tell you about the real culprits behind this diagnosis and this In a minute

I am going to tell you about the real culprits behind this diagnosis and this I am going to talk about the culprits, how to diagnosis it, how to treat it and how to get pregnant.

For expert advice on optimizing your fertility and health.

Charlene Lincoln, women’s health and fertility expert and first time mama at 42 using all natural solutions I love sharing with you.

Listen, much of the time Unexplained infertility simply means that your specialist did not dig deep enough to find the reason you can’t conceive.

We help couples every day that come to us with that confusing diagnosis and our expert fertility team is able to evaluate them thoroughly and pinpoint several factors that are making it very difficult for them to get pregnant and or stay pregnant.

By the end of this video you will understand the key factors causing your infertility, how to test for it and how it's treated. Let's start our investigation into you...oh yeah let's not forget your partner too.

He's 50% of this equation after all.

Super important tip alert!

Check the dates on any tests you have had done in regards to hormones and sperm testing.

Anything older than 3 months is NOT representative of you and your partners current situation.

The following are some of the main culprits behind “unexplained infertility”

Keep in mind that these are not in order of importance!

1. Low Sperm Count and Quality-Sperm count has declined at a shocking rate in the last 15 years.

In fact in 2010 the WHO defined normal sperm count as 15%. Today "normal" is considered 4%! YIKES right?!

Consider this: Almost 50% of all cases of infertility may be associated with a male factor.

A semen analysis that measures sperm concentration, motility and morphology has classically been used as the gold standard test for determining a man’s fertility.

However, this test does not provide any information about the genetic constitution of the sperm, which is essential for normal embryo development.

Thus a high level of DNA damage in sperm cells may represent a cause of male infertility that conventional examinations cannot detect.

Interesting right?

Let's continue... Sperm DNA fragmentation is significantly higher in infertile men and while men with poor semen parameters are more likely to have high sperm DNA fragmentation, high sperm DNA fragmentation is also found in men with normal semen parameters who may be diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

Recommendation: Have your partner get a Sperm DNA fragmentation test versus going to a traditional run of the mill lab that doesn't specialize in sperm analysis.

You partner could be told that his sperm is "okay" with only 4% normal sperm or have DNA damage within the batch of sperm and you would never know.

Do you think that could make it harder to get pregnant or maintain a pregnancy if your partner has less than 10% normal sperm or has DNA issues?

The answer is a resounding YES!

Fortunately sperm count and quality is fairly easy to improve and major changes in our clients are seen in as little as 3 months.

Sperm Health Tip!

Keep cellphones away from pockets for 90 days prior to trying to conceive!

Cell phone radiation has been shown to cause damage to sperm DNA.

2. Elevated Heavy Metals.

For example elevated mercury levels have been strongly linked to infertility in both men and women and is an underlying cause of miscarriage.

Where are you exposed to Mercury?

Seafood like Tuna and swordfish, Car exhaust, hair dyes, household cleaning products, amalgams, vaccines (it's in your flu vaccine) and in the vaccines you received as a child.

Mercury is just one heavy metal there are many others that we are potentially exposed to.

Get tested!

The hair test is the most accurate and tests for all major heavy metals.

I included a link to a direct to consumer lab below to get your heavy metals tested.

Health Tip: Pregnant women are advised to avoid tuna and other large predatory fish We advise you avoid it before pregnancy in the critical preconception phase which is 4 months before trying to conceive.

If your heavy metals are elevated you will want to look into chelation therapy.

Chelation therapy involves a chemical solution called EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), which is administered into the body — usually directly injected into the bloodstream — so it can bind with excess minerals.

Once bound to “toxins” in the body, EDTA helps detox the body of heavy metals by removing them before imbalances and illnesses have the chance to develop.

Health Tip #1: Avoid removing mercury amalgams aka silver fillings when you are trying to conceive as they may release mercury.

If you must remove them please do one at a time and give ample time and test Mercury levels before trying to conceive.

Tip #2: Wild Blueberries, Spirulina, Cilantro, barley grass and dulse are incredible at detoxing heavy metals.

Hold on for an amazing recipe you can make in your blender in minutes that will help rid your body of heavy metals.

Here is a Heavy Metal Detox smoothie recipe that's delicious and healing!

Ingredients: 2 bananas, 2 cups wild blueberries, 1 cup cilantro, 1 cup orange juice, 1 tsp barley grass juice powder, 1 tsp spirulina, 1 small handful of Atlantic dulse & water to blend.

Directions: In a high speed blender, blend all ingredients until smooth.

If a thinner consistency is desired, add up to 1 cup of water.

3. Food Sensitivites or Intolerances You may be asking what food sensitivities have to do with getting pregnant?

Turns out a lot.

Many people may be unaware that they have food sensitivities.

Here is a list of the common symptoms: Frequent Illness, Infertility, Menstrual cycle disorders Stomach pain, Diarrhea, Constipation Skin rashes and eczema, Headaches, Post nasal drip and sinus problems, Muscle or joint pain,

Attention Deficit or focus issues, Frequent ear infections, Chronic cough, Excess weight, Canker Sores

Five Reasons Foods Sensitivities Cause Infertility and why.

The female reproductive system requires a careful feedback loop from the pituitary gland in the brain to the ovaries and uterus.

If there is a problem with any part of this process then fertility is affected.

Here are five of the most common reasons food sensitivities can lead to infertility:

1. Chronic diarrhea is a common symptom of food reactions. It can affect the absorption of vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates and omega 3 fatty acids from the food we eat. Any of these nutrient deficiencies can affect the ovulation mechanism and lead to menstrual disorders and infertility.

2. Immune reactions against foods either from IgG delayed food sensitivities or from Celiac disease can cause an increase in the production of toxins and inflammation that can affect ovulation and the menstrual cycle.

Specifically, the toxins can increase the hormone Prolactin. Elevated Prolactin has been associated with Celiac disease and gluten reactions.

3. Now check this out about elevated prolactins affect on your fertility: Prolactin, the hormone normally produced while women are breast-feeding, inhibits ovulation. Prolactin has an effect on the pituitary gland and the production of FSH and LH, the two hormones that play a role in the growth and release of an egg from the ovary. Too much prolactin means you won’t ovulate – no ovulation means no egg; no egg means no pregnancy. This can all be in result of a food sensitivity or celiacs disease. We'll talk about celiacs in a minute.

4. The chronic low level inflammation that occurs with food sensitives can, not only cause Leaky Gut, but has also been associated with damage to the fallopian tubes.

The fallopian tubes play an important role in connecting the ovaries to the uterus and, if they are damaged, there is difficulty getting an egg to the uterus for fertilization or implantation into the uterine wall. Okay this is really important and number

5: The cervical mucus the female body produces around ovulation plays an important role in fertility. Cervical mucus serves two roles.

First, sperm cannot live in an acidic environment and the mucus provides a buffer that protects the vaginal Ph from becoming too acidic. Secondly, healthy mucus is rich in carbohydrate-based food that provides fuel for the sperm to help them make their long journey to the egg. When we have inflammation created from eating foods that we are reactive to, the quality and quantity of cervical mucus can be altered.

This alteration in cervical mucus can play a role in our fertility. Let's touch back on celiacs disease. Gluten has been getting a bad rap lately and for good reason, it's been shown to be harmful for fertility.

Most of us have gluten sensitivity where eating gluten creates an immune response or low level inflammation which elevates prolactin levels and creates leaky gut.

If this is the case it's easy to resolve by just eliminating gluten.

But what if you have celiacs disease?

Nearly 6% of women have celiacs disease When people with celiac disease eat gluten (a protein found in wheat, rye and barley), their body mounts an immune response that attacks the small intestine. These attacks lead to damage on the villi, small fingerlike projections that line the small intestine, that promote nutrient absorption. When the villi get damaged, nutrients cannot be absorbed properly into the body.”

Chronic nutrient deficiency may make it very difficult to get pregnant or maintain a pregnancy.

To find out if you have food sensitivities you will want to request a IgG test from your healthcare provider.

I will also include a link to a direct to consumer lab in the description below.

I have not personally verified the accuracy of this test.

I was told by a very reputable source that the most accurate food allergy test is from cyrex labs.

Your healthcare provider must order from Cyrex.

Knowing what foods you are intolerant to and avoiding them will change your life and your fertility.

You will want to request a celiac's test from your healthcare provider.

I have seen some direct to consumer tests but can't confirm their accuracy.

Health Tip: Cut Gluten out of your life and elevate your health. But caution please do not overdo gluten free processed foods. Many of them have ingredients that will sky rocket your blood sugar. Instead eat grass fed quality proteins, organic vegetables & fruits and other non-processed foods. Are you getting a sense of what may be causing your infertility? I am so proud of you for sticking with me! It shows you are dedicated to your wellness & fertility.

4. Thyroid Disease I'm going to give a real life example for this one.

A woman at 44 became a fertility client.

She had a history of infertility.

After much investigation our fertility coaches found that her thyroid antibodies had never been tested.

Because her other thyroid numbers looked in range her doctors didn't feel the need to test for this important marker.

Studies show that elevated thyroid antibodies proceed thyroid disease! Interesting right? Once tested it showed her thyroid antibodies were indeed elevated. Our coaches addressed the thyroid issue and she became pregnant within 3 months. Insist that your Doctor run a complete thyroid panel.

Here is what we recommend to be tested: TSH, T3, T4. Free T3, Free T4 Reverse T3,Thyroid Binding Globulin,Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody andAntithyroglobulin Antibody. If your healthcare provider refuses to run a complete panel then I have put a link to a direct to consumer lab in the description below.

5. Methylation Issues Have you heard of MTHFR?

It affects 40% of the population. This is a mutation that affects men and women equally and it’s all about how you utilize folate in your body – a vital nutrient when it comes to your fertility. Those with the mutation cannot properly absorb and utilize folate.

The faulty enzyme MTHFR (which stands for methyl-tetrahydrofolate reductase ) is responsible for methylation, which is a core process that occurs in all cells that aids cell repair, detoxification, neurotransmitter production, and supports a robust immune system function.

How does this impact my fertility?

Those who have MTHFR will find that they are super-sensitive to environmental and food borne toxins.

They have a hard time getting rid of these toxins through the normal detox processes in the body and this sets them up for major illnesses and diseases which includes infertility and miscarriages.

MTHFR gene mutation has also been linked to children being born with Down’s Syndrome, Autism and Spina Bifida.

People with the MTHFR gene mutation don’t make enough glutathione, which is a primary antioxidant and detoxifier. They instead accumulate toxins in the body that lead to premature aging, a poor functioning liver, a compromised reproductive system, and fertility issues.

Health Tip: Only take prenatals with Folate NOT folic acid in case you are the 40% with MTHFR.

Eat plenty of fresh organic fruits and vegetables & drink clean filtered water and remove all chemical products from your household and beauty products.

It's time to start cleaning up toxins so that your body can focus on creating life.

Get tested for MTHFR.

All these lead to poor mitochondrial function which is the leading cause of infertility.

Mitochondria are cellular engines. Eggs, the largest cells in the body, rely heavily on mitochondria to generate their energy.

When this energy metabolism by mitochondria is disrupted, the eggs do not have enough energy to facilitate chromosome and cell division.

This lack of energy can result in embryos with chromosomal abnormalities.

As a woman gets older, mitochondria in her eggs (as well as those in other parts of her body) accumulate DNA damage from oxidation.

Mitochondrial DNA is particularly susceptible to damage because it is not protected from oxidative stress.

Also, because a majority of mitochondrial DNA actually codes for proteins, even minor damage can lead to significant dysfunction.

Health Tip: antioxidants including coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10),  can protect mitochondria from oxidative damage and may eventually help facilitate normal development of eggs and embryos.

CoQ10 and DHEA are used to treat women with low quality eggs.

Please test DHEA levels before taking this powerful mother hormone!
