Càrtier Baiser Vole Fou Perfûme by Cartier is a floral perfume based on Lily I was nudged to review by Anna who says I've fallen hard for Cartier's Bizet ballet which just sneaks up on you like a beautifully fragrant ninja oh I'd be interested to hear thoughts on this one

well Anna I have thoughts, plenty of thoughts starting with the insanely beautiful bottle for busy ballet which is very much like a 1930s cigarette lighter but like a jumbo version because you're just so insanely glamorous and I find myself just entering into a little fantasy world of lighting invisible people's invisible cigarettes another light Clark Gable

Except you would just get a face full of booze a bowl a oh it's a marvelous and enchanting place in my head so anyway I would say that this Lily is not a beautifully fragrant ninja that sneaks up on you know contrary to and his experience

I say that this ninja is just jumping out of the bottle going hello it's Lily time

strap on some little cuz here it is it's very big it's very a garden 2 green it's a little sharp it's quite creamy it's a little peppery uh it's just like you're in this beautiful beautiful garden that came out of a giant 1930s cigarette lighter

I don't get the connection the perfumer behind all of this malarkey busy valet which means stolen kiss by the way is Matilda Laura and um she has a few tricks up her sleeve she's done some glorious perfume is one of my very favorites another Cartier one called the pomace which is all about sandalwood and iris

I love that one she has also done one for Guerlain called a drop curve which is just dense peachy amber lushness but back to the lily of Bizet ballet all of the very similar to that's the word

I can never pronounce verisimilitude there you go all the reality the actuality the total hologram Ness of that Lily kind of Peters out after about 15 minutes or so first of all you can't get over the fact that you're carrying this giant garden on your skin and then you leave the hologram and you enter the shower because as a ballet starts to smell like shampoo and to anyone who's born in the 70s it smells like a specific shampoo that was around then called gee

your hair smells terrific exclamation point don't forget that exclamation point gee your hair smells terrific

I don't know what was in that stuff but it just it smelled great and it lasted forever in your hair and was virtually a perfume and Bizet valet does leave that whole world of the lily and it enters the world of the rosy musk it just smells happy and clean and fresh and still smells good busy valet is very persistent very long-lasting

is not going to let you down there's also kind of a kind of salt and pepper element in there I think that the pepper is a byproduct of what you would actually smell in lily and there's also a little saltiness in there and there's also a kind of a cold cream wax enos to to it so it ends up smelling a little bit like an old-fashioned lady's vanity table with all of our toilettrees set out so it has that definite glamour

it's emphatically floral it's not hedging its bets with oh it's not hedging its bets with patchouli or melon or berry or cupcakes it is just there to bring you flowers it's very clean but never dull
